The Rebuild, Part 1

  • Garage

A lot has happened to SuzyQ these last three weeks. And by a lot I mean a lot! Time for the first update.

After delivery at Henk’s Customs & Restoration workshop SuzyQ’s body was removed to make the upcoming work easier. A new rear clip with better fourlink and chromoly FAB9 axle by Chris Alston Chassisworks was meticulously installed. The work included custom made parachute brackets, new seatbelt anchor points and a new S&W Racecars window net system as well.

The old rear clip with eighties fourlink and original Ford 9″ axle served its job well, but needed to retire. After this rebuild SuzyQ will be ready for hopefully many more years of happy racing.

People who know me won’t be surprised when I tell you that I am having the greatest time watching Henk work. Literally everything he does makes SuzyQ even better than she was before, how cool is that?!

Stay tuned for part 2!
